Slimy Deal Between Dr. Phil and Suspect in YouTube Beating
Some people look at absolutely any situation as a way to take money form other people and make a profit. We have already seen one of the parents of a suspect in the filmed beating of 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay pimping herself all over the television in paid appearances. She makes a fool of herself, insists her daughter is innocent and that Lindsay had it coming. Classy, huh?
Now, looks like the same woman has taken money from the Dr. Phil Show in order top pay her daughter’s bail.
Kudos to both Dr. Phil and for Mercades Nichols’s mother Christina Garcia for stoopping to new levels of lowlife skeeviness and money-hungry dealings.
When bail was posted for Mercades Nichols yesterday, a man who said he was with the Dr. Phil Show told reporters Nichols’ mother signed an exclusivity agreement with the show. We all know that means she got a chunk of cash for her convoluted take on the story.
That same spokesman said the show often “assists” guests and potential guests when they needed financial assistance to come to the show. In this case, they went above and beyond by posting bail.
And, it turns out that not everyone affiliated with the Dr. Phil Show is pleased with what has transpired.
“These staff members have been reprimanded and our policies reiterated,” wrote the show’s communication manager, Louis DiCenzo. “In addition, we have decided not to go forward with the story as our guidelines have been compromised.”
