Sex, Porn, Strippers, and Reality TV
I suppose I always knew that people who appear on Reality TV shows have a tendency to whore themselves out for fame, but I only ever meant the word whore in a figurative sense. The more I think about it, though, it looks like the Reality TV industry is chock full of the lowest denominator of those who will do just about anything for money.
Recent headlines have revealed that Survivor darling Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth, who appeared on both Survivor: Cook Islands and Survivor: Micronesia, has an illustrious past as a cast member of the Playboy TV’s porn reality-dating show Foursome. This is not soft-core porn, folks, but the real thing. You can easily verify this yourself, as it is readily available for downloading at several entertainment sites.
Somehow, Ozzy still comes across as less disgusting than Big Brother’s James Zinkand and his participation is various gay porn videos. Once again, these videos can be found easily all over the net and there is no mistaking his stupid bow-tie tattoo. Crazy James loves the dudes over and over and over. CBSD has yet to make any comment about this little tidbit, but then anyone who has seen even a smidge of the live feed will attest that Zinkland’s past is not actually all that surprising. He walks around the house showing off his erection and was well on the way to forcing his team-mate into a sexual situation before the producers addressed him over the PA system and made him back off.
And now, the latest skeevy revelation about a Reality TV performer: “American Idol” finalist David Hernandez used to work at a male strip club in Phoenix, Arizona. According to the manager of Dick’s Cabaret (ahem, appropriate name indeed), Hernandez “danced” fully nude and did lap dances for the “mostly male” clientele.
Of course, there are always those contestants that come to us with unblemished pasts, but I still think that the Reality TV industry tends to attract the dregs of society.
Not surprised. From the days when the only reality TV was MTV’s Real World, most participants have been people with bigger show biz dreams.
Would I go on a reality show? Not on your life.
