Life on Florida’s West Coast

A World of Free Information

One of the endlessly cool things about the internet is the sheer volume of free information available on nearly any topic you can imagine. Granted, not all of the information comes from a reputable source, but that is generally easy enough to verify.

Pick a topic, any topic. Give me a difficult challenge and I guarantee I can find good information for you on the net, for free. I have been particularly enlightened when it comes to topics of health and finance. Those were areas where I did not have a whole lot of natural knowledge and I am thrilled at how easy it has been to brush up on everything from my daughter’s vaccinations to how to roll over a retirement account.

When we bought our last house, the one that is getting ready to go back on the market now, I had more time to be picky about mortgages. So, I spent time reading articles and forums. I sought out advice from professionals and mined for gems of advice on bank and lending sites. I became a powerhouse of knowledge. Sites that offer a library or free articles, like MoneyMagic, are particularly helpful.
