Emotional Eating and the Holidays
All this talk I’ve been throwing into my blog about Lap Band and scales and losing weight made me think I should probably give my readers a link to a good holiday survival guide while I am at it. If I’m going to advocate starting the healthy eating BEFORE the holidays, I need to at least pass along the tools to help make it possible.
Dr. Roger Gould just put a Holiday Survival Guide on his site that offers personalized info on fighting emotional eating and holiday weight gain. And, any of you who have an issue with emotional eating know that it is particularly tricky around the holidays. The triggers tend to be more bountiful. Dr. Gould is one of the foremost authorities on the subject of emotional eating.
His Shrink Yourself interactive online program is all about finding out why you eat. It’s more than just a diet or a menu program. When you learn why you eat, you are able to lose weight and keep it off. Give it a look now, before the holidays set in and you find yourself filling up in order to fill emotional space.
I am such an emotion-driven eater. It’s terrible. Especially around the holidays when I’m away from my family, and I eat EVERYTHING. Turkey, pie, turkey, chocolate, etc. :-S
