Then, take the Rookie Challenge.
The New Wave of Social Networking
By now, unless you have been living under a proverbial rock, you know what social networking and chances are, you are a member of at least one online community, like MySpace or Facebook. Social networking sites are popping up all over the internet and the new wave takes it a step further with sites that are focused on a particular interest.
MyWallSt.net is a financial social networking community for people who are interested in the world of investing you will find professional side-by-side with rookie traders, and even those just timidly testing the waters.
Win $1000
You’ve heard of Fantasy Football? MyWallSt.net has a new fantasy investing game and you could win $1000 just by giving it a try. The rookie challenge game might be fantasy-based, but that $1000 I mentioned is real cash. Play the Rookie Challenge and you will be in the running each and every week to win the money.
How It Works
Registration is free, and so is participation. You can trade stocks from real companies using virtual money. It’s fun and it lets you get the hang of the world of trading in a no-risk format. The challenge comes when users are ranked. Play and see if you can achieve top standing. You start off with $100,000.00 of virtual money to invest. Each transaction is charged a virtual $20 fee.
Check it out. I’m already there.

I posted earlier about three reasons you should use a calendar and apparently I missed the biggest reason of all! If you aren’t using your calendar, you might find yourself at the stroke of midnight and realize you completely forgot that the entire prior day was Talk Like a Pirate Day. Man. I completely wasted an entire day where I would have been justified in making small talk about peg legs and “booty” with the little old lady who runs the deli counter at my local market.
Serves me right; both for not using my calendar and for waiting until after midnight to read Jade’s blog, Sweet Catastrophe, where she posted about our annual reason to say Ayoy!

Just today I started thinking that it’s about time to arrange for someone to take some pictures of me and Gigi I can use to make a postcard I can send to folks for the holidays. I used to send cards. Then, I moved from regular cards to cards with a family portrait slipped inside. After that, I started having photo cards made for Christmas. Now, I’m down to just having postcards printed up, so I can send them without an envelope. I’m streamlining my process.
Processes are made to be streamlined, you see.
Now, in the past I have used Vista Print to have my photo greeting cards made. I use them because they print on more of a cardstock, as opposed to photo paper and therefore the cards come out richer looking and more durable. Plus, they have cool double-sided printing available. So it stands to reason that I will stick with Vista Print for the http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/splash/splash_postcards.aspx, you know? Why fix something when it’s not broken?
When I help design marketing campaigns for my clients, I usually suggest business postcards since they are more economical in the long run.
I’m already digging the idea that I won’t be licking envelopes this Christmas.
