Media Sharing Made Beautifully Simple
Media sharing sites are becoming more and more popular by the day. I use sites allow me to share photos and video and now I’ve come upon one that caters especially to the sharing of media you upload from your cell phone. You can actually share files and Free Ringtones on Cellfish via your “personal locker” on their site and then links are generated that can be accessed from a cell phone. Your locker is a private virtual storage space where your uploaded, sent and purchased videos, images, audio files, games, can be stored. And get this: Cellfish gives you unlimited storage space in your locker. That’s a lot of uploading!
The best part is that it is simple, very simple. Be assured that I tested it myself first and am a testament that anyone at all can figure out how to use it.
The service is free, but you have to have text messaging capabilities on your cell phone. And once your register, you receive a unique e-mail address at cellfish.com. Then, Cellfish sends you a text message when new content is uploaded to your locker and you can use your cell phone to access your files. You can use the system to get files from your cell phone to your locker, or to add new content from your locker to your cell phone.
Cellfish is totally free unless you decide to buy credits to purchase premium content, like ring tones (they also offer some free ringtones). There is no monthly charge or sign up fee. It’s also a community-based site, so you can invite your friends to see your profile and content, as make new friends on the site.
I used Cellfish to upload a picture I took of Gigi last fall for her first day or school. I wanted to have it in my cell phone and this was an easy way to upload it from my computer to a place where moving it to my phone is simple. Check out Gigi! She was so excited about starting school. I can hardly believe that she has a whole new first day of school coming up in less than a week! Tempus fugit.
Thanks for the post. It’s true, you can play and share everything on your phone with Cellfish… And the best part is, it’s free. Come and check us out @ cellfish.com
