Get with the times!
I suppose I am behind the times, but just this week I finally got a webcam. I just did not see my need for one before now. I have little to no desire to speak to stranger online in a face-to-face format. My dad, though, actually sent me a check, instructed me to oick up a webcam and told me to use Skype to set up an account. He lives up outside of Washington, DC and rarely gets to see Gigi.
I got around to installing the thing Monday night and we immediately called Dad and got him to go online and test the system with me. What fun. He said within the first five minutes of being able to see his granddaughter, he felt like he had already got his money’s worth. ?
I actually really enjoy the interaction. Skype has a far better transmission quality than I expected, too. I still will not be using the webcam to talk to anyone I don’t know, but I do plan on seeing if any of my current friends use Skype already. It would be fun to see them face to face whenever I feel like it.
I don’t have a webcam either, so don’t feel out of the times. I don’t want people watching me typing away… I don’t even use Skype. Aaahhhh! I am way out dated aren’t I?? LOL..
