Online Shopping, Coupons Codes, and Me
I’m not much of a shopper when it comes to actually getting out and going to physical stores. Why? I absolutely loathe crowds, tend to not be able to keep my mouth shut around rude people, and get confused when trying to compare prices from location to location.
Online shopping is the best of all worlds for me. I avoid having to do my shopping while brushing up against hundreds of pushy people, I can compare prices by opening up a couple of browser windows, and as a bonus I’m often able to find ways to avoid paying sales tax and shipping. (Plus, I can shop in the dead of the night while wearing my pajamas.)
There is one more thing I love about shopping online: coupon codes. If you look hard enough, you can almost always find a coupon code to use at any given online retailer. You can get a percentage off or free shipping or even free add-ons. You maximize your buying power if you just take an extra minute to hunt down a coupon code.
There is a brand new site called Deal Locker. It’s still in beta, so the shiny hasn’t even worn off yet. It’s a coupon site repository that operates on the ideal of friends helping friends. The site admins will be adding coupons codes for hundreds of stores on a regular basis, but they also have a simple form where you can submit codes as well.
Using the site is easy. For example, if you need business cards coupons, you as either search for a specific store or product, or browse the categories. I have been looking for wooden blinds for my bedroom, so I was thrilled to find the page for Just Blinds coupons. It’s sure easier than casting about on the net to find the codes on my own. Plus, allowing users to submit codes means the coupons themselves should be fresh and unexpired.
