Life on Florida’s West Coast

Smart Way to Vacation

I miss family vacations. My daughter and I have done a little bit of traveling to see family since the divorce, but actually getting away on our own is kind of difficult when it is just the two of us. It would be more work than rest for me.

One of my friends who I just finished the education program with left with her family and another family for a big vacation almost as soon as she finished her last final exam. They had reserved a couple of Pigeon Forge vacation rentals and had all kinds of relaxing outings planned. She made it sound so good I almost begged to tag along.

The cool thing about the way they have it set up is that with two families on the trip, one couple can watch all the kids while the other couple gets away for a day and has some time alone. It’s like build-in babysitting and a cool vacation with your best friends all tied up in one blissful package. I think their plan is pretty smart.
