Blank Wordpress Themes

I’m currently happy enough with the theme I’m using, which is Journalized (eggs version with my own header graphic), but I just found a designer that has put out some blank Wordpress themes to get you going on designing your own. Great template starting points. I may work little by little on my own design. Right now he only has 2-colums templates available, but says he is working on a 3-column version.

There is one called SandBox that gives you the theme files and a blank stylesheet and you just go from there. I used it once but I can’t design for crap so I deleted it.

I’ve always prefered the 3 column templates over 2 column ones. I guess it gives you more space to add widgets, etc. to your page and they can also make it look too constrained sometimes.

I prefer the 2 column layout myself. I don’t use a whole stack of widgets and using only two columns then means the main content has more room. Everyone has their own things they think are important I suppose.

Same for me, I even like reading 3 columns more the 2 column ones.
