I see that Tampa/Clearwater area has an average of about $3.49/gal now, so if you're filling a 20 gal tank you could save $12! Probably worth going early or waiting in line a little while. But now you also have a new job and other errands, and if you end up going out for fast food because of the wait, or driving out of your way, well, those savings can disappear pretty fast. I use gasbuddy.com to look for the least expensive station that is not out of my way and try to combine it with work trips or part of an errand.
