Mauve? Wimbledon club colors are dark green and PURPLE!! Being a fan of purple, I thought YOU would know, Ang! ;-) I too, became a fan of Wimbledon when Boris Becker won in 1985. I remember that so well, I never watched sports on TV and only played tennis in gym class, but that year, I saw an early game on HBO when Boris Becker played and it was fascinating to watch. I was captivated for the whole event. It was a difficult time for me personally, and there was something about watching this guy, who was basically unknown, surprising all the announcers and experts, that was very uplifting and inspiring. I've love Wimbledon ever since and thought I'd have attended by now, but it hasn't worked out. One year, I did get to England during Wimbledon and a friend and I made it to the event, but of course, didn't get to attend. I did get a Wimbledon T-shirt from some street vendor though. :) I'd still like to go someday, but I'm not sure it will be as exciting as when I wanted it so much years ago.
