More worrying was the fact that I had sensitive business data on the hard drive. As a mortgage broker I had hundreds of people’s financial data on file, and, I began losing sleep worrying about it being stolen.

I wound up using Spyware Doctor, one of the reviewed packages, and Spyware Search and Destroy, a freeware program made in Denmark.

Both worked very well with a slight edge to Spyware Doctor for handling one or two uncommon and particularly dangerous programs. Search and Destroy is an extraordinary value and could be all that most people ever need to use.
