My parents just sold their house in California and are building a new one here in Omaha that's twice as big for half the price of what their house in California sold for. Two kitchens, walk-out basement, whole-house sound system, surround sound speakers implanted in the walls, 4-car garage...almost enough to make you forget that you're in Nebraska. ;) Nebraska’s great. My wife and I just moved into our new house on August 1st, and we’re loving it.

The southern part of the state doesn't have the bad winters which are known in the other parts of the state and the cost of living isn't as high as other parts of the country. I have been in every state. I love it here, but if I were to move to another state now. I would be living in Flagstaff Arizona. LOL.. (Never Florida...you can't vacuum sand...aaaahhhhh.)
